ACCOMMODATION
 

Participants are free to select from a range of accommodation options.  

There will also be all range of other accommodation options which are very close to Colombo Downtown and other public activities and attractions. Participants are requested to visit the websites of the hotels for self booking.   

The Conference Venue- The Sri Lanka Foundation Institute also provides low cost type accommodation for following rates; 

AC Room for two (with two single beds) with breakfast – 40 US$

AC Room for single person with breakfast – 35 US$

 

GETTING TO COLOMBO, SRI LANKA
 

Air travel: Colombo is connected to many European and Asian cities through direct flights and to American Continent via Europe or Middle East.  

Local travel: Travel from Katunayake Bandaranayake Airport to Colombo (conference venue) via airport highway by Taxi takes 30-35 minutes.

GETTING AROUND COLOMBO, SRI LANKA
 

Getting around Colombo is much easy with all types of transportation such as by train, By Bus, or by Taxi (car/three wheeler).

   
 
   



GENERAL CONDITIONS
 

Neither the University of Moratuwa nor any other sponsoring agency will assume responsibility for the following expenditure in connection with the participants' attendance at the conference:

  • Cost of international travel or local travel (unless for paid tours);

  • Expenses incurred with respect to any insurance, medical bills/hospitalization fees;

  • Compensation in the event of death, disability or illness of participants;

  • Loss of and/or damage to personal property of participants;

  • Purchase of personal belongings and compensation for damage caused to them by climatic or other conditions;

  • Expenses in Sri Lanka and incidental to homeward journey including transportation charges and airport departure tax;

  • Travel or other costs incurred by dependants who might accompany participants.

  • The participants are advised to take appropriate insurance before travel.
